Ok yes, I have been terribly slack in the blogging arena. To be fair though both of us have been doing double duty on the work load , and for some reason mike has managed to pick up all the slack that I have been depositing in the blogging front.

But I’m making up excuses…I could go on  and on.

So heres my take on the continent that we now find ourselves in. We spent a rather hasty time in Singapore, picking up the big camera and seeing to a flurry of dental calamities that seemed to plague us as we exited Vietnam, nothing to do with Vietnam mind you, but just general issues that seem to raise their heads every now and then on a trip like this. I must be honest here we had been spending allot of the time mentally preparing ourselves for India. Everyone, every blog, every book basically everything seems to begin by peppering sentences with the words “brace” and “prepare’ and “culture shock”, so I guess we were not entirely sure what we were going to expect. We knew there would be incredible poverty, and along with that certain complications, but we were optimistically minded about everywhere we have been through so far so we weren’t going to make an exception here.

And to be honest the first day was not really that shocking, or in the need of bracing…for the most part. India I can tell from here out is going to be one of the more interesting parts of our trip. Having just come from the sheer machine that is Japan, the start realities of China and Hong Kong and the beaming faces of Vietnam, we knew that India was going to have it own set of challenges that we would have to face. What was going to get us through most of it was the fact that after having to scratch high and low for the past few months to find the good in Asia (and we found it don’t doubt that) India seemed to have a whole host of people and projects scattered far and wide across the country, finding the time to see them all was going to be the challenge.
